About Amsterdam Modern
Amsterdam Modern is one of the most respected destinations for Dutch mid-century modern furniture in Los Angeles. Founded by Ellen LeComte, this 10,000-square-foot warehouse and showroom near Echo Park houses a meticulously curated collection of vintage furniture, lighting, and decorative objects from the 1950s through the late 1970s.
What Makes Them Special
Owner Ellen LeComte travels to the Netherlands approximately six times per year, hand-selecting each piece from flea markets, dealers, and private contacts across Holland. She ships full containers back to LA, ensuring a constantly rotating inventory of authentic European vintage design that you won't find anywhere else in the US.
While many dealers focus on well-known American names, Amsterdam Modern specializes in exceptional but lesser-known Dutch and European designers — offering collectors and design enthusiasts pieces that are truly out of the ordinary.
