About Lost City Arts
Founded in 1982 by James Elkind, Lost City Arts is one of New York City's most respected galleries for 20th-century fine art and mid-century modern design. Located on the 10th floor of 200 Lexington Avenue, this 4,000-square-foot gallery is arranged as curated vignettes — with rooms dedicated to the work of Harry Bertoia, George Nakashima, and the great Italian and Danish designers of the mid-century era.

Owner Jim Elkind is widely regarded as the world's foremost authority on Harry Bertoia. The gallery holds one of the deepest collections of Bertoia sculptures and furniture available anywhere, making it a pilgrimage destination for serious collectors and institutions alike.
