About LaNoBa Design

LaNoBa Design is a Danish mid-century modern furniture showroom and warehouse located on the Red Hook waterfront in Brooklyn. Founded by married couple Lars Noah Balderskilde and David Singh, the store's name is derived from Lars's initials. Lars personally sources all inventory directly from Denmark, importing nine to ten shipping containers per year of original 1950s and 1960s Danish furniture, often acquired from the original owners or their families.

Lars's deep connections in Denmark allow him to find pieces that have been in the same family for decades, ensuring authenticity and quality that is difficult to match. Every item is expertly refurbished before hitting the showroom floor, with light fixtures rewired for U.S. electrical requirements and wood surfaces carefully restored to their original beauty. Their sharp pricing and vast selection have made them a favorite of interior designers and collectors citywide.
